Day One

Finally arrived in Taipei to begin one month study of Chinese. I have to admit, as I was flying in, I did begin to question why was I doing this? Was I getting a little too old for mini adventures in foreign lands?  My answer to all these doubts was life long learning. After getting the keys to my studio apartment and venturing out for my first meal, those doubts came back again when I could not figure out the gate to the floor on my apartment. Thankfully after a few frustrated attempts I managed to get in. 

My first meal was not that great either. However my bubble tea more than made up for that as I remind myself first meals are usually not the best. Tomorrow I head to my language school for the first day of lessons. Wish me luck.
